Despite the fact that it feels like we just got out of last March, the month is back, marking for most of us the start of the lockdowns, closures and big changes related to the coronavirus pandemic that still impact our lives today. It’s hard to believe that almost a year has passed since then, but many of us – including yours – have increasingly found solace and relief in a good book.
While the publishing industry has also seen its fair share of upheaval – many expected debuts and popular sequels have had their release dates pushed back due to the pandemic – it has still managed to bring us some good things. to read over the past year, with more to come in the months to come. And as we gaze into the barrel of yet another COVID walk, it’s a heartwarming thought.
In the world of sci-fi and fantasy, March 2021 will bring us several exciting sequels – including highly anticipated new books by Cassandra Clare, Amelie Wen Zhao, and Leigh Bardugo – and tempting first offerings (Don’t Sleep on Adrienne Tooley’s Sweet & Bitter Magic or Allison Saft’s Down comes the night that is what I am saying.)
