A barber in Madhubani District, Bihar, just won a massive Rs 1 crore prize in the fantasy game Dream 11 in a 2021 IPL match on Sunday. Ashok Thakur, who runs a salon in Nanaur Chouk under the Andhratharhi block of the Bihar district had made a Dream11 team by investing Rs 49 during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. His team overtook hundreds of thousands of competitors and scored the highest points. The price of Rs 1 crore is the highest that a competitor can win in Dream 11.

Dream 11 is a fantastic virtual game where you choose players from both teams to form your own team before the game starts. The competitor will score points based on how the player they choose plays.

Thakur told IANS: “After the game I came in first and earned Rs 1 crore. The official call also came shortly after. I was told that a sum of Rs 70 lakh would be credited to my account within the next two days. The money will be paid after deduction of taxes. I couldn’t sleep that night. “

This is not Thakur’s first attempt to play this fantastic sport. He had previously made several teams on Dream 11 after seeing promotional videos about the game on television. However, all of his previous attempts have been unsuccessful.

Baidyanath Ram, husband of Nanaur panchayat mukhiya, told the Hindustan Times: “The news has spread throughout the region. Although I haven’t met him since winning the award, many people have shown me information about his success on their cell phones. “

Despite the victory, Thakur says he wants to continue his current profession, which he adores. “I love my job as a barber and it will continue. I will first write off the debts with the winning amount and then build a house for my family, ”Thakur added.
