Check Out IL’s All-New Everyday College Lacrosse Fantasy Game

Welcome to Inside Lacrosse’s Free College Lacrosse Daily Fantasy Contest!

Since the start of our real-time player stats update on the Inside Lacrosse dashboard last March, we have been working on rolling out this project. After extensive testing since the start of the season, we are incredibly excited and proud to offer our readers the chance to enter their first contest.

You might recognize the format from a recent trend on social media: users are given a budget to choose from a roster of players, each with a different value. In the typical contest format, users will be able to choose from 30 players spread over six columns, separated by position, and five rows separated by value. A user has a budget of $18 to select one player from each column; a user can split the budget as they wish, choosing players worth $5, $4, $3, $2, and $1.

Users will then compete against all the Inside Lacrosse fans who entered the contest. You must be actively logged into your IL account to play. If you don’t have an IL account, create one for free here.

When selecting your entry, your selections are saved after each player’s selection. Upon selecting your sixth player, your entry is added to the results page, but you can edit your entry until the selection is closed, which is usually set for five minutes before the start of the first game you have. a player in the contest is expected to participate.

We have developed a unique scoring system to count stats in each relevant stat category:

  • 3 points for a goal
  • 3 points for an assist
  • -1 point for a turnover
  • 2 points for a ball on the ground
  • 6 for turnover caused
  • 1 for backup

Scoring is the same as for men, except you add 2 for a draw check because a draw check does not count as a ground ball in women’s lacrosse:

  • 3 points for a goal
  • 3 points for an assist
  • -1 point for a TO
  • 2 points for a GB
  • 2 for a DC
  • 6 for a TC
  • 1 for backup

Contests will end approximately two hours and 30 minutes after the start of the final round featuring a player in the contest, but IL reserves the right to extend a contest to accommodate delays.

Once a player who is part of a user’s registration records a stat, the user’s registration will be visible on the contest results page, which updates in real time.

Every male and female player from Divisions I, II and III can be selected for a competition based on our technological infrastructure. However, if a player wishes to decline to be selected to participate in a competition, please send an e-mail to [email protected].

Inside Lacrosse does not claim ownership of player photos used in this game. To have a photo removed from the site, please email [email protected].
