Genius Sports and the IIHF Release an Official Fantasy Game for the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship

Official Data, Technology and Broadcast Partner engineering sportsand the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) have combined to launch the official Fantasy Game of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

Since May 13, teams battled it out in Finland for the ultimate ice hockey prizewith fans immersed in every game through daily IIHF Fantasy Hockey.

Ice Hockey fans around the world can compete to predict who will be the stars of this year’s championship, selecting a team each day with three attackers, two defenders and a goalkeeper.

Bettors can track player stats from every match, create their own leagues, and compete for multiple prizes, including a cash prize of 5,000 Swiss francs for the overall winner.

The The IIHF has partnered with FanHub in early 2021 to power IIHF Fantasy Hockey for the 2021 Championshipcreating a vital engagement platform for ice hockey’s premier event. Since acquiring FanHub in May 2021, Genius Sports has entered into exclusive free partnerships with the European Tour, Canadian Football League, Mid-American Conference and more.
