Jung Jin Young and Park Sung Woong, stars of fantasy film “The Dude in Me” to be turned into drama
At July 16, a film investment, production and distribution company, Content activated (TCO), announced the idea to dramatize the film ‘The guy in me” through the community of writers and related sites on the 16th. Naver Café Writers Group, a community of writers with more than 100,000 members, registered more than 2,500 views within five days of publication of the competition notice, attracting the attention and expectations of authors for the competition. The fantasy thriller is about an armed robbery that takes place when a bullied high school student and an elite gangster switch bodies.
Through this competition, TCO recruits new and established writers for new ideas to produce enhanced drama that goes beyond the fun and excitement of movies. Based on the film, they are looking for the drama synopsis with the motive of a different expansion of the worldview or the fantasy setting of the film. In the format of more than 8 episodes and no more than 16 episodes based on 60 minutes, any writer can submit a plan including the overall plot with the intention, the synopsis of each episode, the introduction of the character as well as the ending. and the candidate’s curriculum vitae. Through this competition, the strategy is to create a new drama that will bring a new look to OTT dramas with the innovative ideas of newbie writers.
In addition, there will be a TV and OTT mini-series screenplay competition. Any freely created TV or OTT miniseries storyline, regardless of genre or subject, is open to the public. In both categories, the best work receives a cash prize of 10 million won and an artist contract, and the excellent work receives a cash prize of 5 million won and a writer’s contract. Even if they are not selected as laureates, applicants who meet certain criteria will have the opportunity to participate in other TCO projects.
Jung Jin Young dealt with the new comedy thriller ‘Police University‘which will take place on a university police campus and he will play the role of Kang Sun Ho, an accomplished hacker, who enters college with his criminal record. The drama is slated for release on August 9 and we can’t wait to see it!
